Product Description
Xanthan gum is a high molecular weight polysaccharide gum. It contains D-glucose and D-neneneba mannose as the main hexose units, along with D- glucuronic acid, and is prepared in the form of sodium, potassium or calcium salt. Xanthan gum has colloidal properties and can form a viscous colloidal solution in water.

Application
Xanthan gum is widely used in food, pharmacy, cosmetics and industry.


Function
1. Adjusting viscosity: Xanthan gum can form a viscous solution in water, which can be used to adjust the viscosity and fluidity of food and cosmetics to make it easier to use.
2. Increase stability: Due to its viscosity and colloidal properties, Xanthan gum can increase the stability of food and pharmaceutical preparations and prevent their separation and precipitation.
3. Enhanced emulsification: Xanthan gum can be used as an emulsifier to help mix insoluble ingredients and form a stable lotion.
4. Increase adhesion: Xanthan gum is commonly used as adhesive in pharmaceutical and oral care products, which can increase the adhesion of drugs or oral care agents to the surface.
